Destination Imagination http://www.illinoisdestinationimagination.org/ Begin the journey of a lifetime. Destination ImagiNation, Inc. is an extraordinary non-profit organization that provides educational programs for students to learn and experience creativity, teamwork and problem solving. 
Future Cities Future Cities Future Cities is a national, project-based learning program where middle school students work with an educator and STEM mentor to imagine, research, design and build cities of the future. 
Gear Up Chicago http://www.gearupchicago.org/ Program Objectives Increase the academic performance and preparation for post-secondary education. Increase the rate of high school graduation and participation in post-secondary education. Increase 10,295 GEAR UP students and their families’ knowledge of post-secondary education options, preparation, and financing.  
International Bridge Contest http://bridgecontest.phys.iit.edu/ The construction and testing of model bridges promotes the study and application of fundamental principles physics and also helps high school students develop "hands on" skills through bridge construction. By participating in the Bridge Building Competition students get a flavor of what it is to be an Engineer, designing structures to a set of specifications and then seeing them perform their function. They are also provided with an academically-oriented extracurricular activity which is recognized school-wide.  
Project SYNCERE http://www.projectsyncere.org/ The mission of Project SYNCERE (Supporting Youth's Needs with Core Engineering Research Experiments) is to increase the number of minority, female, and underserved students pursuing careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
