President's Welcome

Message from the President

To our members and all interested non-members - Welcome!

We look forward to making your experience with the Chicago Chapter of ISPE the best it can be!

Keith Peltason graduated from the General Engineering Department (now named Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering) of the University of Illinois in 2001 and has 18 years of experience in mechanical engineering. Mr. Peltason joined ISPE in 2009 upon earning his PE license, upon the benefit his employer paid for membership in professional organizations. Keith was attracted to ISPE because of a strong focus on professional engineering licensure. He started to become involved in the Chicago Chapter a couple of years after joining by attending professional development and after work social events. Upon a career change in 2014 located in the Loop, he became involved with the Board, first as a member-at-large, then two terms as a Vice President. Mr. Peltason looks forward to annual participation in Mathcounts as a Special Awards judge for the Chapter, as well as teaching students mathematics and financial skills for Junior Achievement with his current employer.
