2017 Future City - Chicago Regional Finals

The 2017 Chicago Regional Finals took place January at the UIC Student Center.

Future City Competition serves 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Sponsored by DiscoverE, this national program introduces students to engineering with popular Sim City software. Students design cities with simulation software, build scale models, write essays and give oral presentations on their city's design.

2017 Rice Campus DuPage Area Engineers Week Expo

The Annual Engineers Week Expo took place on Saturday, February 25, 2017.This is a fun, free, family, interactive event providing children and adults the opportunity to experience and explore the many fields of science and engineering through displays and presentations. The event is geared toward children in kindergarten through 8th grades, however, all ages will enjoy the event!

Family Science Expo

The 8th Annual Family Science Expo will happen on September 24, 2016.

Going on its 8th year, the Family Science Expo aims to get kids excited about science, technology, and engineering. With interactive displays and exhibits, the Science Expo is the perfect combination of education and family fun.

What happens at the Science Expo?

The Family Science Expo gives kids an opportunity talk to real engineers and scientists and learn about the amazing things they do. Representatives from local science and technology organizations set up hands-on demonstrations and activities.
