About Chicago Chapter
The Chicago Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers (ISPE) is a professional association representing the interests of engineers in Chicago from all fields of practice. ISPE is a state society member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). ISPE consists of licensed professional engineers, licensed structural engineers, licensed land surveyors, engineer interns, graduate engineers, and engineering students. NSPE, ISPE, and the Chicago Chapter all work to promote the engineering profession at the national, state, and local levels. Because of our diverse membership we often seek to collaborate with other organizations to serve our common member base and increase networking opportunities.
The Chicago Chapter aims to provide quality professional development and network building events in the greater Chicago area. Many events are over the lunch hour or immediately after work hours, focusing on a variety of engineering related topics and frequently offering professional development hours (PDH).
The Chapter also supports the Chicago Region MATHCOUNTS competition, provides scholarships to engineering college students, and distributes awards to local engineering firms for significant project achievements.
